My 99 year old grandma began farming as a young child. Growing up poor it was a way of life. Purple Hull Peas became a staple in her home and continued to be a seed that would be planted year after year by my grandparents, followed by my dad and uncle. I am Blessed to have been given seed to continue our generational plantings.
On a side note: The Tornado of November 4, 2022 shared thousands of our saved heirloom seeds. We haven't seen any volunteer plants on our farm, but I am sure they will spring up somewhere. If you are blessed with our seeds growing volunteer plants, we would love a photo and a location.
